WOD
“WOD” means Workout of the Day. These classes feature constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. That means a mix of cardio, gymnastics and weightlifting, structured into different time domains and stimuli. Scared? Don’t be! Our coaches always have options for you to modify any workout to suit your abilities. This programme is for EVERYONE.
WEIGHTLIFTING
These classes specifically focus on the many elements of Olympic Weightlifting. We break down the clean, jerk and snatch to help you move with better form and develop strength. You’ll often find these lifts in our WOD classes, so Weightlifting classes are a great way to learn proper technique. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned lifter, you’ll get a lot from these sessions.
CAPACITY
Here’s where the grunt work lies. Our capacity classes help you to boost your cardiovascular and muscular performance. Typically, these are longer workouts featuring lots of reps to help you build stamina in the many varied movements we do. Prepare to get a sweat on.
HOW IT WORKS
Each class is an hour long and capped at a maximum of 14 attendees. The coach is there to support you the entire time; they’ll explain the workout, demonstrate each movement and offer you guidance throughout the hour. You must book onto each class prior to coming, arrive on time, respect the equipment, listen to your coach and be nice to your fellow athletes!
OPEN GYM
Members also have the opportunity to book onto “Open Gym” during class times. We have a mezzanine area with plenty of equipment specifically for those who’d like to do their own workouts or accessory work outside of our class programming.
GET FIT, MAKE FRIENDS, HAVE FUN
All our coached classes are programmed in-house to meet the specific needs of our member base and facility. We put our heart and soul into creating group workouts that are adaptive, beneficial, fun and varied.
When we say our classes are for everyone, we mean it! We don’t believe in elitism or cliques. It’s our coaching team’s job to adjust workouts to each member’s ability, so whether you’re a high level athlete or you’ve never picked up a dumbbell before, you’ll have a great time here.
